hi everyone
we have recently seen a black plec/catfish, with smallish luminous green looking spots, in very coordinated patterns across it's enitre body. it is a stunning fish, and looks similar to your average pleco, apart from its awesome skin colouration, and it was about 6 inchs long.
however the name of this fish now escapes us, and we have failed to find any info about it on the net, or in any pet stores.
we are very interested in getting hold of one, we have just seen one in a local fish store, for a whopping 35 pounds, but before buying we would like to know a little more about this beauty, and it's name!!
any help would be appreciated!
thanks

Try looking through the Loricad section. It's bound to be one of those but the description is too vague and the multitude of species too large.

Sorry to burst the bubble, but could it possibly be a L200

My Webpage

Sorry but they have them in my LFS and and it sounds just like it. They are a real olive green with spots.

Yes...But the description was of a black pleco with green spots, not green with spots...

yup we think that catfish number L182 is the one we have been seeking!

Hope you manage to get one!

I have one definitely on my list for when I upgrade my current tank.

we're pretty sure he is L182. stunning fish! can't wait to get him  once we find out for sure what he is we'll let you know!
thanks again guys!

Julie it's a bit confusing when you give a link indiciating "my webpage" when it's the website of Planet Catfish.

In future when giving links, change the "my webpage" wording to that which you are referring to - in this cast it would be Planetcatfish ;)

I know, but every time I insert a link, it displays it as "My Webpage" ???? I dont know why or how to change it?
