I'm so worried. I love my fishies. My 29 gallon tank holds three red zebras and two yellow tailed violet cichlids. They are all healthy and happy. The tank is a little small I think so I just bought a 55 for them but it is still cycling so they are still in the 29. I noticed the other day my favorite orange fish had something wrong with it's scales. They were so dry looking. Flakey, white, couple were even falling off! Now a couple of my other fish have it too! My violet female is the worse. She has a hole in her side fin, her scales are white and just awful looking. Her top fin even looks a little torn. Another orange fish has the same thing but not as bad. What could be wrong with them!? I'm so sad!

PH 7.6
Nitrites 0
Ammonia .5-1.0
KH 16
GH 18

We just moved into a new apartment and they were moved today. BUT the first fish to have this got it BEFORE we moved. So as for the water peramaters I don't know if they are accurate since they have "new" water. Here are some pics too. Oh I hope you guys can help me.

fin rot is a bacterial conditin caused by F. columaris(flavobacterium or flexibacterium-cant keep up with the name changes)

this leads to localised grey mucoid area's on the skin

dependant on where this bacteria attacks it can be named mouth fungus! go figure
peduncle disease and is one of the bacterial casue's of gill disease

The lesion on the cichlid looked like poss truma biting/scraping on ornaments

How did you move the fish , did you manage to try and preserve the biological load of filter bacteria
why is there ammonia in the tank ?
what are the tap water parameters?

All the best
Andrew
