I just saw some crowntails labeled as Dayak cross ray. Is this a type of betta? I hadn't heard of this before.

There were a few links when I did a Google search but only pics, no description of what it is. Is it a specific type of crowntail?

the only definitions I can find for Dayak are....

Collective name for the various native ethnic groups of the Malaysian state of Sarawak, including the Iban, Kayan and Penan

A Borneo tribe

The Dayak people are indigenous occupants of the Kalimantan region of Borneo. The name, meaning 'upstream' or 'inland', was applied by the mainly Islamic coastal population as a blanket term for over 200 tribal groups, each with its own language and culture. Traditionally, each group lives in a communal longhouse. There are about 3 million Dayaks (est. 2003) on Borneo. The Iban or Sea-Dayaks (Daya) live in coastal Western Sarawak

I'm not really helping here am I :p

Never heard of 'Dayak bettas' before... and it's not on Bettatalk or Jim Sonniers' sites. -_-

Where did you see the fish? It might be mislabeled. Or maybe Dayak is the breeders' surname or something...

I am from North Borneo actually. LOL :p
The Wolf is right. Dayak in betta is just a references of the colors Dayak tribe in Sarawak wearing. :)
