Sorry, SAE's dont suck on anything and the name sucking loach belongs to another fish all together.
Siamese algea eaters (crossocheilus siamensis) are otherwise known as siamese flying foxes and are the only fish known to eat hair/beard/brush algea. They are silvery gold colour and have a horizontal black stripe which runs down the whole length their bodies into the tail.
Sucking loaches (Gyrinocheilus aymonieri) are sometimes known as indian algea eaters are territorial aggressive little fish that do not actually eat much algea at all.

No, a Siamese Algae Eater is not a sucking loach (especially since it doesn't have a sucker mouth!). A Siamese Algae Eater is a kind of cyprinid (carp like fish) with the Scientific name Crossocheilus siamensis - also known as the Siamese Flying Fox. It is renowed for its unique ability to eat brush algae. It is a gentle schooling fish, grows to about 5-6" and is suitable for a community aquarium.

A "sucking loach" is a common name for a Chinese Algae Eater (CAE), Gyrinochiellus aylmonieri, also a cyprinid, unusual for it's rasping, suckermouth with which it eats algae (a habit it often out-grows, unfortunately). It is an aggressive loner, grows to about 11" and is not usually suitable for a community aquarium.

The two are very different fish who should not be confused.
