What Is A "spotted Ancistrus"?

It'll be one of the many Bristlenose species. Without a reliable L number and collection point (if wild caught), they're very hard to specificly ID. However, if it's tank bred, it's most likely Ancistrus sp. 3 (common bristlenose). The problem with common names is that they often encompass many species.

There's a link for the ancistrus species profiles on Planet Catfish. Hope that helps :)

If its a baby then it could be just a regular bristlenose as lfs ofen sell them as spotted ancistrus.
