I'm going to start looking for tanks as I begin trying to start a saltwater (obviously lol) coral tank. What is a good minimum size if I want different kinds of corals and fish? Also what is the biggest I can go without it being extremely difficult to maintain? I really want to do this, but with school starting soon I'm not going to have time to spend an hour working on it everyday. Any suggestions will be great!

I started with a 3' 30 gallon tank, with a sump.

Having a sump is quite important with a reef imo, you accumulate a lot of different equipment, bits and bobs and a sumps a great place to keep it all so the display looks natural and un-cluttered.

Yea that's what I have it's really good got some great extra bits with it all for £100.
That was tank, stand, T5 lights (sold £40!), protein skimmer, test kits, nori and little bits.

Bargain!

I'd say a 75 usg is good minimum for a starter tank. I kinda wish I had gone bigger to start with..lol. (I know, ya told me so) You can have a lot of different kinds of fish in a 75, including tangs, and it's not hard. More water is more stability.

I started with a 100gl which i guess is a good idea because the water is pretty easy to keep stable but bigger is way more expensive, I also have a 35l tank with a few coral's which is cheap and i find very easy to look after but then again i only have one fish in it

I also wish I had gone bigger but 1m was my limit really.
