i have been offered a 40 gal tank for 40 pound without a light. now i was searching for fish i might get and i came across a manderin. it says that these fish need 30 gals of space to swim in with live substrate it also states that they are hard to look after but doesnt explain why.
could anyone give me any information nd if you have one of these beautiful cratures please post a pic. o and also it says that they may be aggresive towards conspecifics. what are these
thanks :thanks:

conspecifics are fish that are the same of very similar.

IE a conspecific of the RTBS is the ruby/rainbow shark

conspecies is a same family i berlieve il use clownfish as an example .... a pair of clownfish are usually only suitable to one aquarium since therre fight with a conspecies ... e.g. a maroon will fight with a "nemo" etc.

mandarins are hard to look after becuase they rarely eat frozwen food, they feed of live rock copepods and need a very mature tank at least 6 months olf and lots of live rock if there gonna feed of just this, unless it eats frozen or prepared food its very likely it will over eat the coepods quickly and die of starvation in the future.
