what is a complete water testing kit

Going to go buy a water tester but would like one that probably is the best.


Any names or kits people can throw out?

just make sure it tests for Ammonia, NitrAte, NitrIte and probubly PH... those are the most important ones to monitor.

Well I use this one And I love it!......

Test for everything you need....except nitrATe ..but I buy strips for nitrAte.

A complete testkit would consist of:
nitrite test
ammonia test
nitrate test
ph test
water hardness test(gh,kh)

this is all you need for a freshwater tank....

I have the same one. The same company makes a separate Nitrate test, and I bought that when I bought the kit. They also make tests for copper and I forget what else - just discovered that yesterday when I was searching around town for more dechlorinator (which no one had - not the brand I use anyway). I prefer strips for water testing, but they're much more expensive and doing these tests doesn't take much longer.

Oh, I ordered mine from Dr.s Foster & Smith, but you can get them at places like PetsMart or PetCo (yes, I know some of you people hate those stores...).
