What If My Guppy Gives Birth While Im At School?

Im typing this on a school computer and are worried my pregnant guppies will give birth while im here.
What are the odds that i will miss the entire delivery? I really want answers, please.

Well your at school/ on the way home for around 8 hours of the day + 8 hours of sleeping that leaves you 8 hours to actually watch them. I leave my fry to fend for themselves a couple have survived each spawn from the onslaught of one male betta, 2 endler males and 3 guppy females prowling for them. I did bild my own filter which virtually covers the entirety of the rear of the tank as a moss wall so they hide behind that when frightened. Best thing to do if you want them all to survive would be to put the preggo in her own separate if at all possible.

as long as theres plenty of hiding places/floating plants you should get some survive until you spot them

That happens to me from time-to-time. I just put lots of hiding places in the tank. And I was able to catch 13 babies once, with 3 hungry fish and a filter in the tank.

there guppies mate...

if you give the fry plants to hide in then they should be fine,
i have found that java moss is generally the best if you can get it, its hard to find where i am.
good chance you will see some fry. good luck.

Are you sure about that? Guppies eat anything. Especially fry. It's basically a 50/50 chance. The only factor that can sway this is the time of day. Usually, livebearers are born in the morning or in some cases at night. I've had 10 drops over the last year and only one happened during the day, 6 in the morning and 3 at night. Obviously this sample size is to small to say what will happen to yours, although I have many people have similar experiences to myself. Whatever happens, don't expect a large number of fry to survive. Some WILL get eaten. Good luck! Let me know how things turn out
