cucumber cut a slice or two put it in some water in the microwave full ower for about 2mins then put it in your tank !

it should sink then and he should go for altho be aware other fish like it too !

Any plain fresh or frozen veggie is good for them. The only ones to avoid are corn, and any acidic veggie like tomatoes. Any squash is a favorite of my plecs.

why not corn? - our fish love it...

cooked on the cob - the kernels sliced open with a sharp knife and weighed down with a fork...

I'd heard people say that its because they cant digest it - I've never had any problems...
(but its not like I feed it every day - once a month if they are lucky).

I really dont know why people alawys say "cucumber" its pretty much zero nutritian for the fish, you would be better with Courgette or something else.

Courgette is zuccini on this side of the pond. Zero nutrition is about the same as brine shrimp!!!!
My community tank inhabitants all seem to like zuccini and most of them also like par boiled orange!
Cheers;

I tried sweet potato and my Plecs sulked for 2 days :E

I never feed it because I've heard it's hard for them to digest as well. I'll give it a try next time we have corn. One of my favorites is pumpkin, the plecs love it, and it has colorful after effects.

Yeah I tried it a couple of weeks ago and my Bn loved. They were on it in about 10 seconds, greedy little pigs. :lol:

Mine go for Zucchini, peas, pumpkin, algae wafers (not really for humans but I like them :hey: (just kidding)), broccoli stem is a favorite, melon skin, etc.
