I just brought home a young male Albino. I have a Female Common grey BN in another tank. She is about a year old and only 3'5 inches.

What if they were to spawn? Would I get some albinos and some common OR would I get the Black eye ones with the yellow bodies but have the dark eye. I wanted one of them but only why I could get it was to order online and I saw this little male today so I got him.

Anywho what do the fry look like if you mix the 2?

Female grey BN?, is this just a common bristlenose we are talking about?... if its just common then you will probably get both albino and browns but they tend to produce more brown than albino (not sure why, genetics isnt my strong point lol)... you wont get L144 because its a completley different species.

I thought the L144 was just a color strain of the albino or common. Did not know they were different. My common is more of a grey color then brown I would not call her brown at all.

Thats my girl when I first got her she is a bit larger now. BUt that does not look brown to me I would say she is grey. But My grey might be anthers brown.

Well it probably is genericly, but to get the L144 charactistics i would imagine you need that trait in the albino or brown you currently have.... ive never known anybody breed browns and albino's and got L144 fry but im sure it does happen..... ive bred various mixed groups over time and the closest i got was just a very pale sort of half and half albino/brown mix... but it's just basically a lighter version of the brown. yours is just a common BROWN as they call them, come in various slight colour differences, whereas yours is more a greyish colour ive had close to black.
Again im not to good with plec genetics and what produes what.

Nice BN btw ;)

That all makes sence. You would need the dark eye trait and I have no clue if they do. I'm just going to keep them in different tanks. Thanks good answer.

Thank I love my little girl. I bought her under the name common pleco.
