What happens to dead fish

OK this is not meant as a silly question...I realized today that the swordtail I had is no long n my tank...he didn't jump out so where did he go?

I'm afraid he died of stress, because he was being chased by the molly. I don't really know how long he's been missing but there is no dead fish anywhere in the tank. How long would it take to be totally eaten? Wouldn't there be a skeleton or something in the tank? Wouldn't it make the water look cloudy or something?

The tank is clear, everything looks good just one fish less????? :/
 
A few things could have happened:

1: Could have been sucked into filter system. :-(

2: Got Snails? They can eat a neon in two seconds. Like little parrana (sp) :blink:

3: Maybe it's stuck in a plant or rock and you cant see him because he would be grey and hard to see. :crazy:

Oh, after reading your sig I have come to the conclusion that your 2 clown loaches probably recycled him... :/
