my tank has been cycling for a more than a week now, and i added some gravel from an already established tank. i had some feeder guppies in for about 3 days now, and theyve been swimming around fine. yesterday, i had my water tested and everything was fine, so i added 2 flying foxes and 5 cardinal tetras. i adjusted them to the water and put them in, and they all seemed fined for about 8 hours before i went to bed. but i woke up, to find 4 of the tetras dead, and i know that they didnt freak out before, and the flying foxes werent messing with them at all. can someone help me? i dont want any others to die

Temp? Take readings on the tank now that you've put more into it.. How big is the tank?

A week is not usually long enough to cycle a tank. What are your water perimeters? Until your ammonia and nitrIte were at 0, you shouldn't have added more fish.

What are your water readings? Please include the above measurements as well as temp, tank size, and pH. If you do not have the test kits for these, you should get them. They are a more prudent investment than fish until your tank becomes mature.

were you doing a fishless cycle before adding the guppies? if you only added them 3 days ago what was in the tank before to cycle it. it sounds like a short time to cycle a tank :/

maybe you added too many fish at once to a tank that was not well established?
