What Friend For A Single Weather Loach?

I'm getting a weather loach which has lived on its own with goldfish for a while. I understand loaches like to live in groups but it won't be easy getting hold of more weather loaches. Should I get some other kind of loach to keep him company? If so can anyone recommend a small cheap easy to find loach that can live happily with weather loach and goldfish.

I used to have one and then two together. I don't remember them spending much time in each other's company the way kuhlii loaches do. If you can't find another, I don't think you have to worry about it.

Thanks for that. i'll stick to one loach then. What substrate did yours like?
