I have just purchased a 30 lite(roughly 7 gallons) bi-orb(a round aquarium). Ive installed a heater and got the temp right.
Before I get any fish im going to by some kits and check the chemical levels. Im also going to buy one or two plants as well.
I was just wondering what type of fish I would be best getting to start with. People have said Danios or Platies. Are there any more as by the time I get the fish my tank would have done a fishless cycle anyway.
If any one wants to look at my aqarium the link is www.bi-orb.com. Do you think this is suitable for tropical fish?
Ive also heard thats it best to add seasalt to the aquarium? Is this right or does it depend what type of fish you get?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Sorry being rude, but bi-orb tank is awful.

Tank on http://www.bi-orb.com/ housing godlfishes is also bad joke. It should be laws to prohibit to advetise this kind of bowls. Rounded "bowl" isn't good for fishes.

Quotation from their pages: "... to provide maximum benefits to both fish and fish keeper." How about fishes? Do they need some hiding-places too? Where they can hide?

Hi karaski

:hi: to the forum.

Do not be put off by MrV. His bark if worse than his bite, (he does know what he is talking about though).

Different people have different view points on different types of tanks. The BiOrbe will keep your chosen fish healthy, so if you like it, then don't care what anyone else says.

Back to your questions....

Salt only needs to be added for certian fish.

The choice of fish is down to you. But they must be smallish fish.

Hi karaski..Welcome to the forum. If your tank is already cycled and stable, a good fish (IMO) for your 7 gal would be Dwarf Puffers :D ..with strategic planting (plastic ones are fine) you could house 1 male and 2 or at the most 3 females in comfortably. The dwarf Puffer is avery actice and personable fish, though can be diffucult to care for if you don'd do your research first. :D

7 gal i would say you could get a couple of guppys in their or perhaps seing as you have got that heater neons im thinking perhaps mollys would be a bit too big will take a rain check on them. hope it all goes well and welcom to the forum : :alien:
