I love ciclids myself, but you can go wrong with them if the plan is for a community tank. What are your plans for this tank.

Well I love angels, and I noticed you don't have any listed in your sig. So... get some!!
And toss in some harlequin rasboras or dwarf neon rainbows too!

Dannios
Lamp eye panchax they are small and unusual looking
Dannios Dannios & more Dannios

get clown loaches they are so much fun so comical and funny to watch we have eight of them ranging from 3" to 8" there brill :p

Yes go for Angels. They are some of the gentler ciclids. And sooo cool to watch when theyve got a nice spacious tank to swim around in.

OK.....the fish currently in the 75gall in question are electric yellows....so whatever fish I chose have to be compatible with african cichlids....Danios andf rasboras would be eaten I think

Clown loaches will be fine, and I think I have decided thats what will be next.....that said...if I am at the LFS and they have some reallty cool Pseudos i may just get them....clown loaches are always available where I live.....

:hyper: yay more mbuna keepers :D :p
for a bottom feeder i would look into synos, i like em much better than clowns but for your tank size you'd have to get petricola as they are schoolers, which are more money and hard to find, (note :alien: i haven't kept either yet but have some petricola on hold and have only heard the best of them :shifty: )

but i voted pseodotropheus, a saulosi would be great for a more peacefull tank and demasoni, lombardoi or elongatus for a more agrisive tank actually elongatus would also work in a less agrisive tank, polit and scofoli are also nice pseudotropheus

(EDIT(blah, i forget a lombardoi isn't a pseudotropheus anymore it's a maylandia and very agrisive just like dmasoni)
