What Fish For A 25L Fluval Chi

Morning all, I decided I would take the leap into planted tanks and Co2 but wanted to start small so i got a fluval chi on eBay for £20. I just wondered what fish I could have if any with the tank only being 25l.

Shrimp and Snails would be the obvious ones to start with. But they are not fish - look for fish with names that start with pygmy and micro Endlers and Badis would be good as well

A betta would go well.

Yeah I was thinking about shrimp but the tank is open topped so it would be like watching the great escape so I may just look at getting a really colourfull betta

Nope, I heard bettas jump though, if its open topped.

More likely that the betta will nip at the shrimp. It all depends on what kind of betta you get. Crowntails are generally meant to be the most aggressive. I have a halfmoon, and he is quite timid most of the time.

Ok well thanks guys going to pick it up this week might take a while to set up as I'm currently gathering all my bits for the Co2 but looking forward to it

For a tank that size you could easily just use liquid carbon. I have a 30l planted and dose daily with easy carbo and tpn+ for the ferts.

Perhaps a school of 5-6 boraras brigittae, or 5-6 dwarf emerald rasboras, or 5-6 celestial pearl danios, or 5-6 ember tetras, or 3-4 endlers

Yeah the Co2 is for my 270l. But don't want to start on that yet untill I move out
