hi, im thinking of a 10 gal planted tank to house freshwater shrimp. however, i would also like some tiny shoaling fish to accompany them. are there any such fish that are relitavely cheap, easy to find in shops and will not eat baby shrimp?

cheers, pest control :D

Endlers livebearers would also work. I have heard of more than a few instances of them happily sharing a tank with dwarf shrimp--- both of them prefer hard, basic water (I believe neons lean more towards soft and acidic?)

white mountain clouds are extremely cheap, very active, and very hardy

Microrasboras e.g. Boraras Maculatus, Boraras Merah, Boraras Brigittae, etc

If you're planning on breeding, keep in mind that tetras will generally do a good job of eating baby shrimp if they get a chance.

agree with the above wcmm will eat baby shrimp so will neons but adults presuming you mean cherrys or larger will be fine endlers would be your best bet
scot :)

hi, so would the baby shrimp survive with the endlers?
also, would the boraras be ok with babies?
and i don't know if either of them are sold at my lfs.

cheers
