What fish eat plants?

What fish eat planst in your aquarium ?

I know all live bearers do but are there any other fish that do plants?

If I am not mistaken I think Convict Cichlids also eat plants, or at least tear them up. if anybody knows otherwise please correct me

There are so many fish that do eat plants, or tear up plants or up root them that it'd be impossible to tell you what does and doesn't and just easier to tell you whether a fish you ask about does or doesn't.

Actually, livebearers pick at algae. They aren't quite able to eat plants.

The most common plant eater is the silver dollar. Stay away from those fish if you want plants.

Far easier to buy plants that fish don't eat!!
