Having had to remove my fighter and loach from the tank, I'm left with three sorry looking guppies who used to have wonderful colourful tails. Would it be OK to put neon tetras in with them once I have treated the guppies? I don't want to make Another mistake

How big is the tank?

Neon teras never bothered my mollies and guppies and they got along fine. Corys, and other nonfin-nippers would be fine also.

Anything without long flowing fins, without a mouth large enough to swallow a guppy, a peaceful temperament and not a fin nipper should live with guppies well.
Id think that neons would do well with guppies, they do however prefer different ph.

Oh gosh all this info is hard to get used to! Not sure what I have let myself in for! I have always kept fish but this is my first tropical tank.

I'm finding a lot of conflicting information about what fish to put where and with who, so I'm glad I have found this forum! Much better to ask experienced fish owners

Thank you so much

What size is your tank?

In that case, you don't want to add much to the tank, because you only have room for roughly 10 inches of fish.

A small shoal of some very small fish would be fine - dwarf corydoras would be a nice fit with guppies.

Also, endlers fit nicely - although they are basically guppies themselves, only smaller.

Microrasboras are another group of fish to consider.
