What Filter Should I Use?

I had some great advice on what filter type to use,but i need to know a few questions yet again.
Im a newby so please be kind
i have a 120l tank and want to move my gups into this tank.
okey-- looks like the HOB filters are good,i checked out the cascade 300,but i also read about a HOB bio-wheel filter,which do u prever or what type do u think will work better.
And does this filters help with these? "chemical and biological filtration"
The external stuff is a bit pricy for now
So if i do go for the HOB filter,what should this filter contain and do???

Hobs are best on small tanks. if i were you I'd look at a cannister. or a HOB an Internal combination.
all the filter does is collect muck and allow it to release its ammonia for a bacterial colony to eat. but you need to grow the colony first. "Chemical filtration" (often no more than a carbon bag or sponge) is not, really, needed (though it is used to remove meds)
