Hi, I will be setting up a 20 gallon long tank soon (hopefully this week) and i still havent figured a couple of things out, what kind of filter is best for a 20 gallon (e.g. Sponge Filter, etc.)??? Also, what wattage of lighting would be good if i wanted the 20 gallon to be slightly subdued?

Thanks!

I LOVE my Aquaclear 50 (formerly known as 200) in my 20 gallon... My only small complaint is that it tends to be a lot of current and suction for my small tetras. After finding a few of the 'just added' neons stuck to the intake  I wrapped a double layer of nylon stocking around it to slow the flow. :)

Seems to have worked. Nobody stuck since.

With a long, you may have even better luck, since you can position the flow more off to the side..

As for lighting, assuming you aren't planning on plants - I might think of a 10 or 15 w lifeglo?
