Hey guys a question about my CL. I read that cl also like meater food than what i already feed my fish. I don't know what kind of meater food to give them. Well i probially think shrip pellits right? or maybe something else. Also can my corries eat what i get for the CL?

They will eat blood worms, brine shrimp (frozen or pellets), and earth worms cut up in small pieces. They also enjoy cucumber and zuchini

Earthworms diced up and thoroughly cleaned is exellent, easily available and 'free'!

They do work very good, just make sure they are small enough pieces for them to eat easily and if they don't eat it be sure to take it out. almost nothing smells worse than a rotting worm

Mine always go after the bloodworms like it's gourmet food. I usualy feed that to them a few times a week along with sinking pellets and they'll snap up flake food when I feed that to my Gourami.

I had some drown outside (not in a fish tank) and when I opened the lid I almost gagged

Thanks guys. I will get some worms today and try to feed it to them. ALso can the worms be form outside? If yes should i wash them off with sink water first? Thanks.

I'm new here, and wanted too add my 2 cents. I feed my CL's spurlina flakes, cichlid pellets, freeze dried blood worms and plankton, and frozen brine shrimp. They don't seem picky at all. I try to keep it varied as much as possible. I almost forgot to mention their favorite foods. Seaweed salad from Sanfrancisco Bay Brand is eaten by all the tank mates.( redtail shark, silver dollars, clown loaches, and a rubber lip pleco) The clown loaches favorite food is snails. If I'm buying something from the lfs I ask the girls to pick some of the little snails infesting the tank and put them in a bag for me. Dump them in the tank and the cl's become little killers.

common pond snails. set up a little 5 or ten gal and breed common pond snails.
