i have a 125 gallon tank with 24 neon tetras 5 gold barbs 9 glowlight tetras and 10 black neon tetras and can i add to this tank ( its planted)
i has thinkin 2 rams 2 angle fish and 1 gourami maybe some sort of shark rainbow or red tailed ? post your ideas and thought thanks :)

you have to be carefull with angels and neons , as neons are part of an angels natural diet in the wild . you do however have lots of room to work with . id be tempted to double the number of neons , to make a huge impressive shoal . gouramis would be a good choice too . your tank is plenty big enough for a shark but they can be pretty aggro when they get bigger.

lol i actually just picked up 8 more neons for $10 at my pet store down the street i also got 2 baby angles and a moss ball the guys there said it would be fine to have the neon and angles together so i decided to pick them up there really small so i think they should work :)
im thinming about getting a bunch of baby tears and making a carpet of them ? and woukld a few oto cats be ok some sort of algea eater ? (not a pleco to big)

how about a some parrot cichlids?

with all those tetras , once the parrot grows its just going to be a tank full of livefood for the parrot . it can work with neons and angels , getting the angels small like you have done greatly increases the chances of success . ottos should be fine i would think. altho theres loads of plecs that will go in a 125 gallon tank.

the plecos grow to big for my liking what are some good algae eating fish ?

If the "Gold Barbs" are Puntius semifasciolatus, I was under the impression they are sub-tropical and live much longer at a regular temp of 18-20C, living at ~24C (Neons reg temp) all year round will speed up their maetabolism and shorten their livespan.

i think ottos are algae eaters but im not 100% syre perhaps somebody else could confirm that . not all plecs grow big bristlenose plecss are great little algae eaters , mine always kept my wood spotless , and they only max out at around 6 inches .

rubbernose/bulldog/pitbull plecs barely reach 5"

how about some catfish for the bottom ? some cory's, some synodontis', hopolos, maybe even something a bit bigger. though judging by your reaction to plecs, are you trying to keep the tank with small fish in it ?

yea like a nice community tank no big fish ill try a rubbernose pleco or 5-6 oto cats or cories lol i can never make up my mink lol whats would be the best out of those or post anyother suggestions :) thanks guys

"Rubbernose Plecs" (Chaetostoma) need moderate-high current (8x true water turnover at least) and most including my L444 need a temp of 21/22C to meet their high oxygen saturation needs, like the "Hillstream Loach" of Asia; Synodontis brichardi; Steatocranus species etc.

Your Neons would be getting blown around the tank while the cold would lower their immune system, if you were keeping your Chaetostoma alive and well ;)

the majority need roughly the same conditions and are pretty easy to care for. for your tank id say you have the pick of the lot pretty much. some rare ones are more expensive, the common ones are very cheap, so its just a case of finding which ones you like the look of, making sure they're suitable, and getting some. my personal faves are sterbais and trilineatus. i also saw some delphax cory's recently that were nice.
