I was thinking of making up a schedule of each days of the week with what food to feed my bettas so they get a varied diet and not the same things every day.

I was just wondering if any of you do this as well and what you feed your bettas on each day? or do you feed them the same thing everyday..a little of each?

I just bought some hikari bio gold betta pellets off ebay...so I will be starting to feed them those too. I also feed mine frozen bloodworm, black mosquito larvae, betta flakes and the occasional pea. I don't feed all of these foods at the same time but I will feed for example

flake/bloodworm
bloodworm/mosquito larvae
etc etc...

I'm just curious as how you guys go about feeding your bettas:)

I feed twice a day. Three times a day for the ones being conditioned. The food varies. Frozen Mysis, Brine Shrimp, Daphnia, Mosquito larvae, Enriched Brine Shrimp. They get Bio Gold pellets. I mix my own dried foods. It consists of 3 different tetra brand flake foods, Golden plankton, freeze dried Mysis, fd Daphnia, fd Tubifex,fd Bloodworms, Betta bites, Fry bites, & sundried Shrimp. I grind these all up in a small food processor. Fish being conditioned get 2 frozen food meals a day and 1 mixed dried foods. All others get 1 frozen and 1 dried.

If you add really clean water to this environment, there is rarely any problems with unhealthy fish. You can condition fish in a few days if they have been fed this way.

New fry get 2 drops liquid fry#1 a day for 3 days. After day 1, they get vinegar eels for first week. I start the Micro worms at day 3. They get micro worms for 8 weeks. At day 7, I start the bbs. They get bbs till 8 weeks. I start adding frozen daphnia after week 3. I start adding frozen brine shrimp after week 4. At 8 weeks old, they get the same as my conditioning adults..(3 feedings). I usually go to 2 feedings a day at 6 months old.

I didn't start out this way, but after discussing at length with many breeders the ways they feed, I upped the food intake and quality. My growout rate doubled.
Works for me!!

I feed my guys (& girls) 6 times a week, twice a day. They usually get TetraMin betta pellets, supplemented by Hikari bloodworms and Hikari brineshrimp (I only feed them frozen food 1-2 times a week).

Brine shrimp and pellets. Blood worms if I have them.

Multiple times a day, small servings. they have a fast metabolism, so they need to be fed more often.

Twice a day, pellets in the morning and then something frozen in the evening. Bloodworms, brine, form I, krill, etc. I fast once a week, and I have a few overeaters that get peas the day after bloodworms

fd blood worms, fd brine when they take it, hbh pellets, and now the addition of frozen blood worms only cuz i gotta mix in meds for fishy :p so i just take out a bit before doing the meds and blizz gets a treat too
