Hi All

Today I moved a little log with java fern and moss to another tank. A little later while cleaning I discovered a little black bug thing in my tank. My immediate reaction was to fish it out because I didn't put it there. But I haven't ever seen my shrimp in their moulted state and it may have been hiding under the log I removed. Could this have been one of my amanos?

An amano shrimp that sheds still looks exactly like an amano shrimp. Not a black bug.

What bloo said...

A shrimp that has shed its shell looks just like a normal shrimp.

I would fish out any weird black bug... better safe than sorry!

Arghhh - can't find the little bugger now, off to do some more bug hunting
