Here's my female, Polaris. I've been told that she's a veiltail, but with unusually long fins and a spade-shaped tail. I actually bought her as a male, lol! Don't mind the swordtail...he's a camera hog.

My female looks similar, at least with the dorsal fin! Her anal fin is so chewed up I can't tell what she is But the dorsals match. My girls pretty, and yours is too!

Does yours sometimes swim with the dorsal dropped to the side as if shes kicking out her tail in the other direction and showing off?

Mine does that to Pearl, one of my boys, and it drives him to the point of insanity. He goes absolutely crazy. Its hilarious

Hi Becca! She does that manuver sometimes, but her favorite is swimming up to the glass, putting her nose up against it, and wiggling her body around like mad, while fully extending her fins and flaring. It's the funniest thing! Every time I go up to the tank to watch her she does it, and I just have to laugh. She's a nutty little thing.

were you talking about my fish? sorry i coudln't tell...and yeah i can't really tell what she is etiher, but i figure she was in with the 2.99 veitail females so i thought it was a vieltail *shrug* if someone can tell me she's a ct i'll be really hapy

well my female was also with the veiltales and she cost me $3.29 wich is the same price of the others.
i think its a CT, but I'm not 100% on that one...no matter what she is, shes still very pretty and happy looking too

what you think are crowntails might just be veiltails with shredded fins. corwntails have a clean even shape like this
