What Do You Use To Make Sure Your Tanks Are Spotless Inside Before Set

Was just wondering what you used? I have 7 tanks and have given none more than a quick scrub round with hot water and a scrubbing pad ( not to abrasive that it scratches the glass though)

How do you do it?

I do pretty much the same as you -- hot water and a sponge (and a plastic algae scraper, if necessary.)
