For my fifty gallon:
12+ platy juveniles (all but three being sold once the reach an inch)
1 pleco
4-5 corys
7+ zebra danios
7+ neon tetras
6 black skirt tetras

I want to add more color...
Any suggestions? (I want small, but many fish)

Thanks for reminding me! :D I also wanted to add three sunrise guppies.
Those are beautiful fish! :D But, unfortunately, I don't have enough $ to buy very many of them... :-( But that may be a good thing b/c chances are that I would overstock anyways. :D They are all so pretty!

What do you think about me adding my silver dollars (and 2-4 more) and getting rid of the goldfish? Then I could have a tank for the fish you mentioned. But I'd need to do research and see if they have any special needs....

What to do, what to do? :D

yes i would move the silver dollars into the 50g and you could add a couple more for a great focal piont of your tank.

Good. :D They eat a lot of food, so the others will get less, but that probably won't be a problem... Once I've cycled the tank for a month and make sure that the disease in my other tank didn't affect the silvers, I'll add them in.

out of interest do you hav live plants with yoursilver dollars if so what hav they done to them

Two amazon swords and a few others.
do they eat them? dose it make the tankplant slook ugly cause they eat them so much, do they eat them?

I must have forgotten to mention that I'll place them in once the tank is set up... But I had a bulb in there and they reduced the three inch sprouts to nothing...
The plants I have in there are turning brown, partially, and have holes in them, probably b/c of the black skirt tetras. But yes, the dollars do eat the plants, but I'll definitely add more plants for them to munch on so it won't look bad. (Along w/ lettuce on a veggie clip) :D

Eh. It looks really bland... I've already got some black-and-white-type fish in there and I'm not sure if my lfs carries them. But the red might look good in there... Thanks for the tip.

I'll check them out. Unfortunately, these fish are not cheap at all! In all honesty, the cheapest fish I could find was the zebra danios! I really need a job. :-(

Hi temp :)

For color you might think about a school of glolight tetras. They are lovely fish that only get about an inch or so long. My lfs sells them for $1 each or 6 for $5.

Don't be in too big of a hurry to fill your tank because it's actually better for the fish if you do it gradually. You will avoid the risk of overwhelming the beneficial bacteria and causing the tank to recycle.

And, too, chances are that as soon as you run out and fill it to capacity, that's when you'll see the most beautiful fish in creation--one you just have to get--and there will be no more room for it. (At least that's how my luck works!!!) :X

you could get GLOFISH(tm) they add color and come in about 6 bucks a piece (don't eat junk food for a week and you can buy them.)
