Hey,

I have a common plec and wondered what you guys feed yours when they get quite large ?

i've got some algae tabs but they ain't very big so any ideas please ?

Have you tried feeding Veg (courgette, carrot, cucumber)

Mine LOVED cucumber, he'd easily eat a slice in an hour. He also ate cantelope off the rind.

Hi, I feed my 15" Common on algae tabs, cucumber, peas (give them all peas once a week). Courgette is better but he doesn't like it. Also once a week he has some prawns. They need some protein when they are large (someone on here told me that). They also love mushroom, once they realise it is food they really like that. Other than that he eats whatever the others are eating plus they eat his food too (once he is out of the way). :)

My Gibby and Common both adore prawns. Also any carnivore pellets (earthworm is a favourite) are a nice treat. As they have got bigger they have prefered a meatier diet and I have heard this is quite common.

mines new to the fruit and veg.

She wouldnt touch green breans (opened)

Loves Cucumber, not so keen on Zuchinni, but zuchinni is better for them.
Also cucumber is softer, maybe thats why.

My bristlies love spinach and lightly boiled sprouts. Handy as it is so easy to keep a packet of each in the freezer and just defrost a small portion at the time.
