i just got a pleco, and i wanted to know what to feed them. hes been busy eating algae of my tank, but i know that enough. should i get algae wafers? and what are they exactly? any help will be appreciated.

I am assuming this is a common pleco? If so he will soon clear up the tank so his diet needs to include other treats. Algae wafers are available in packets and are disc shaped. Other treats the pleco might like are: Bloodworm, cucumber, letuce, potatoe, peas and zuccini. I'm sure other members will come up with other foods for you to try.

mine loves live brine shrimp. they try to hide in the gravel and scoobie will swim over and flap his fins and a cloud of brine shrimp float up. he loves them and the angels love him. they follow him around and wait for him to scare up their dinner.

i forgot to add, he also loves ghost shrimp.

Nothing new from me - Algea Tablets - you push them onto the side of the tank so you can see the bottom of the plec

Cucumber - Shelled peas, Blood worm (I put a bit of frozen under the sand - Doesn't take long for him to dig it out!!

Mine all love the same as everyone above. They love algae wafers, sinking shrimp pellets and blood worms. The also will eat any leftovers from the floating food that I feed the tetras.
