I bought two black kuhli loaches today and everytime i try to feed them blood worms the other fish eat the food. I got them at big als and the guy there told me that they will just eat any stray food that falls to the bottom of the tank ? I am also having the same problem with my AFD i bought frog pellets that are suppose to sink but before they even get to sink to the bottom the other fish eat it ?

try feeding at night, that way the other fish might take longer to find it. with feeding your ADF's they are several ways or doing it, one way, and the one i use is to remove them using a net every 2-3 days and place them into a cup/jug/whatever and using tweezers, wiggle bloodworms infront of they, they will some snap them up (the frogs need live or frozen foods, not just pellets, you can do the same with the pellets, but try to varie the froggies diet) the second way is to place a small plastic/glass tray/plate on the substrate every few days, in the exact smae place after lights out and your frogs will smell the food and come to investage. leaving it in the sam eplace each time, ensures the frogs have more sucess in finding it. other ways are to get hold of the food with tweezers, them put your arm into the tank and wiggle the food infront of the frogs, like method one but involves getting your hands wet. they may be more ways, but they are the best ones i know.back to feeding your kuhil, try lots of different foods, at night. if your using sand, try pushing the food under the sand so other fish cant reach it, but the kuhils will dig for it.

yeh fishboy619 is exactly right i feed mine at night when i turn my light off because they are really a nocturnal fish and mine would eat anything nearly bloodworm frozen/live brine shrimp frozen/live daphnia frozen/live micro pellets and catfish tablets.

what about zucchini? couldnt you tie a piece to a rock and the kuhlis will eat it? and the other fish dont eat it, right?
thats what ive heard anyway

hi
ours love bloodworm, catfish & algae tablets, mosquito larvae, daphinia, brine shrimp, dried tubifex cubes, flake, cucumber - just about anything really. try snipping your bloodworm up into smaller bits and dunk some for the greedy guts fish in one part of the tank & some more in another part of your tank - while the greedy guts are in a frenzy distracted it will give the bloodworm inat the other end of your tank time to fall to the floor and easier for khulis to get also as said save some & drop some in for the khulis at lights out time.
