What do i put in my tank so fish to hide?

kind of fish? some need specific stuff... but most dont.
NO thing with any kind of metal on it!

ceramic glass cups

PVC tubes are a faveorite.

rocks piled to make caves (move your hand fast creating big waves over the pile to be sure it is sturdy and wont get pushed onto a poor fish's head.

there are many cave, log, house, things at LFS as well.

search "cave" at this forum and you are bound to find lots of nice dyi and pictures.

I read in another thread of yours that you want fish for your birthday. Well, instead of asking for fish, why don't you ask for ornaments, caves and things for your fishies to hide in and some plants, fishies love weaving in and out of plants and some even like to nibble on them in between meals.

Lots of plants is allways a good start if your fish are small.

Here's one of our Puffers lurking in the undergrowth.

:fish: You could cut a cocnut shell in half, clean out all the meat from inside, cut a notch in the shell for your fish to fit through and then boil the shell in several changes of water before placing it in your tank :D

I put a snaped bit of slap in my tank i clean it loads but i didnt boil it will this hurt fish?

I'm sorry, that last post made no sense to me...

What fish do you have that need to hide? How many of them? WHat size tank do you have?

You could go for ornate ornament or DIY caves. You should check out that section if you want something original or don't want to pay for ornaments.

Do you mean a snapped piece of slate?

If this is what you mean then yes, as long as it's well scrubbed and boiled, it's safe.

But watch out for sharp edges.
