what could be added?

I have a male betta and black skirt tetra in a 6-gallon tank and was wondering if any fish could be added. I really want another fish, but I'm not sure if I already have enough. I have prevsiously had a platy, dwarf gourami, betta, and some other kind of tetra in that tank for about two years... kind of a beginers mistake even thought they did well together for such a small tank!

I think you should add more Black Skirt Tetra...because, well tetra should be kept in shoals. Mabye a otocinclus or corydoras if you have space.

Ah! I like that idea! Do you think they would try to gain up on my betta though?

I think you should trade the black skirt and get a small school of pygmy cories. They stay small and will be on the bottom, won't nip the betta. And they are ~soooo~ cute.

I agree, that i would be worry that the tetras may nip the betta's fins. pgymy cories are a good choice.
