HEY

I just got a corydora, but i don't know what type it is. It looks like a sterbai, but on the lower lip it has 4 big bristles, i have tried looking it online, but I haven't found any fish like it. It's mouth is like this: on the upper lip it has 2 big bristles and on the lower one 4 (and from those 4 it has more little ones coming out of it...

can some one tell me what specie is this fish?????? thanks

A picture is worth a thousand words.... we have a clear picture of what the mouth looks like....

Hi David_M :)

I'll move your thread to Other Catfish where it might get some more responses. :D

never known of a foot long syno eupterus in captivity, maybe possible but around the 8 inch mark is more likely.
they grow fast when young then slow down a bit when they get to 4-5 inch, reaching aroung 8 inch id say.
got mine at about 4 inch and know its 6/7 and iv had it about a year. so that would suggest aroung 1-1.5 inch a year after 4 inch? may differ in different fish.
nice fish, mine is quite active, but will eat a fish if it can catch it and get it in its gob, safe just to steer clear of anything less than a couple of inch's
