It was advertised as a peppered cory, but from looking at the cory section, it looks nothing like one. It is nearly white with black spots that look like a leopard's spots.

Any ideas?

It is definetaly Trilineatus, I love these guys! Hopefully though I can branch out and get different kinds of cories soon...

Funny you said that it looked like leopard spots, because one thing that they are advertised as are leopard cories.

What they are usually advertised:

Julli Cories
Leopard Cories
3- Lined cories

Yes, definitely advertised as peppered cories.

Not sure if the shop really knew what they were doing though :)

It was £6 for 4, and when I got home, there were 5 in the bag. Not complaining :)

I'm not sure, but I think there's no such a thing as a leopard cory.

Is the Trilineatus the same as a Schwartzi Cory? It looks exactly like some I saw at my local fish shop the other day and they were labelled as Schwartzi. They looked great!!

I'm fairly sure it is trilineatus too.

They are sometimes mis-sold as Julii because they look very similar.

Julii and Schwartzi are more expensive generally so you can see why some LFS' might choose to 'mis-label' them.

Definitely Corydoras trilineatus. The leopard Cory, Corydoras leopardus is in fact very similar, but it is a larger fish and has a longer snout.
