i have a river reef interpet 50. 2 t5 18 watt lights and blue leds. i was wondering what corals could i have because i am having a nano reef. what are tourch corals like are they easy to keep.
thanks

You will probaby only be able to keep softies under 36W of light.
Torch corals are LPS corals and need a bit more light than softies, one may possobly be ok. But mine seemed to expand and look afr happier when i wne t for stronger lighting.

could anyone give me a short list of the corals i could have in there please. also would polyps be ok in there

i found the ligfhting on the interpet tanks really good actually i was spectical at first but have had trachys, rics, zoanthids, a hammer all triple in size which to me was surprising, i do love those tanks so easy and great coral growth it really does run itself !

i would guess so truck most people call zoas button polyps though i think button polyps are actually a diiferent seperate species or polyps for short :good:

Nah, button polyps is really just a common name for blah looking zoanthids :)

Anyway, for a nano tank like that you could look at zoas, palythoa, xenia, mushrooms, ricordea, leather corals (not yellows though), devils fingers, basically any softy. You could TRY a frogspawn or hammer coral as they are more forgiving than torches and have a similar appearance
