Hey, thanks for taking interest lol. . . I'm getting a tank thats 2x2x1 ft tank thats got a goldfish. . (has pump, filter, etc. . .)

can anyone tell me how much water it can hold? (Gallons/litres) and if i can, how many other fish could i put in?

Thanks, 1st fish tank so thrilled to bits!! lol

i'm not good at math, but using the pinned calculator i think it's 29g. since there is already a goldfish in it i guess you'll be keeping it coldwater and the rule of thumb is 20g for the first, then 10g for each additional. so you could put one more goldfish in it.

me thinks :p

Dimensions 61 x 61 x 30cm/24" x 24" x 12

Surface area 0.37 sqm/3.98 sq ft/ inches sq in

Volume 113 l./25 gal. (29.85 US gal.)

Probable volume 102 l./23 gal. (27 US gal.)

I wouldn't put another goldfish in it personally, but I am from the 'goldfish need lots of space' side.

You could get some weather loaches or peppered cories maybe but goldfish get so big and make so much waste that I would not risk anything bigger.

A good filter and live plants will help water condition. Planting into little containers will help them keep rooted and sand is better for goldfish and bottom feeders if you decide that route.

Hi,

Another option if the goldfish is still small and a fancy variety would be to add a small group of white cloud mountain minnows. If its a common though it would compete too much with them for food, and if its too big it will eat them.

I personally would avoid WCMM because they will sooner or later get muched.

A bristle nose plec would go well but again it is important to be careful with 2 poo machines.
