Well my 30 or 36" have to remeasure it, (30"x12"x18" LxWxH) tank has a crack in the bottom. I also have a heat mat that covers 1/3rd of the tank. Could i trun it into a lizard tank? If yes what kind of lizard/snake could i get. Not a corn snake coz i had one or a leopard gecko.

Thanks very much

Sean

How about Pictus geckos?Or an 18" high you could get cresties although you may have problems with it being a top opener and if your house is not to cold you wouldnt need the heatmat
one thing you will have to do is make sure there is plenty of ventilatin gets into the tank,A normal aquarium hood does not let enough in and the air will become stagnant for any species

thanks for the reply,
I think i may get a milksnake, are they hard to take care of? and will the tank be big enough, if its not i will look into getting a bigger one.

Thanks

Yes milks would be ok in a tank that size but again you would have to change the hood for a vivarium style hood.snakes of any kind can get through the tiniest of gaps and as milks are small you will find they will escape from a normal aquarium hood no problem

I think i will just get a vivarium. There are about £120 and they are 36"x12"x18" i think. Would that be ok?

You could get a 3ft viv but a milk snake would be more than happy in a 2ft one, milk snakes are small snakes compared to the likes of corns

why not repair it.
it is easy enough to replace the base or just stick another peice of glass on the existing base.

If you're going to repair it - go for a full replace, rather than sticking a bit of glass over it. That's what our previous owners of our old 4ft did, and guess what, within a month or two it was leaking again for us. It's now in my garden waiting for me to get off my bum and clean it out to use it for my land snails ;)

I wont recommend them though because I usually get an "Ewwwww!" or an "Urrgggh!" as thanks
