What Can I Add?

Hi!

I have a 75 (us) gallon tank. Currently it has 2 firemouths and 8 tiger barbs in it. Any ideas on another cichlid I could add? I'd like something bigger with some personality. Something that won't eat my barbs. They are good little fish and they chase each other but don't ever mess with the firemouths.

Difficult with the firemouths, as they are territorial cichlids, I have a 2" one that think he owns my 130g tank!

However, you might get away with a severum, make it larger than the FM's or they might terrorize it, the one fish my Fm leaves alone is the large dominant sev. Rainbow cichlids are another good bet, or acara's should be able to hold their own.

Thank you. I do like severums. I had one in the tank before the disaster in January. We had an ice storm that knocked our power out for two weeks. We had to leave our house in the middle of the night and stay with family several towns away (we had a two month old baby at the time, scariest trip ever). A couple of days later when the roads had cleared enough to safely drive back home it was too late to save the fish.
