So I've invested a small fortune in various high-quality and highly recommend fish foods. My little fishie friends (skirt tetras) spit out most of it and give me the "What the hell is this crap, Karen?!" look when I feed it to them (my name is not Karen, but I feel like it's what they'd call me if they could talk). The only food they will eat are Tetra Color Plus tropical flakes. They go crazy for it - bumping into each other to get to the flakes. It's the only thing I have that causes a mini feeding frenzy.

So what about you guys? What food(s) make your fish go bonkers?

Most excellent question...I too am an Tetra Color Flakes user, and often wonder about others' experiences with food...seems to me this Bug Bites thing, is now the newest trend...I've also seen wingless fruit flies on offer too..Hey TFFer's any comments on fish foods?

Oh I totally fell for the Fluval Bug Bites hype. Chalk it up to another food my fish spit back out at me.

I think I have more food types than fish types!

for a treat, I occasionally feed frozen (but thawed in tank water) brine shrimp. They go nutty over it.

I compare it to feeding steak to a dog instead of his usually dry kibble.

My fish go crazy for blood worms

They like bloodworms (freeze dried and frozen) but don't seem to go as nuts for the worms or brine shrimp like they do for the Tetra flakes. Go figure!

My Molly's seem to love algae wafers more than the plecos. Go figure. It's crazy, they will go at it for hours aggressively picking at the wafers like bottom feeders. I guess it all depends on the species as to what they like to eat. My tetras love flake food. But all my fish seem to like blood worms, especially the bettas and hatchet fish
