What are you doing today?

So what are you up to or what did you do today?
Today, I mowed a client's lawn and replaced a catalytic converter on our family's car(with a bit of my dad's help).
Your turn!
Accidentally lost a pet snake (dw I found him) silly little guy crawled through a newly formed hole in his feeding tub and went behind a shelf

Glad you found him! 😅
Slippery little fella 😅

I'm being a total wuss! I'm on the edge of a head cold setting in and am a total wuss when it comes to a head cold.

LOL! I remember when I lived in Florida I'd drive my roomie of 12-13 years nuts with a head cold. I'd say take care of me and she would try and I'd be like just leave me alone. Me and a head cold is sort of funny. I'm REALLY pathetic.

Directed a first grade concert last night. My boss said that the highlight was our own version of "You Can't Always Get What You Want" by the Stones. It might just be the perfect song for first graders...
They also did The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything from veggie tales, far and away my favorite. @JuiceBox52

sealing water leaks on the 75 pickup. Let salt or dechlorinator spill a long time ago. Floor meets rocker panel half inch strip by 30 inches gone.... Flex seal tape topped by silicone if I get to it here. Other truck still in shop.

Water changes this morning for the aquariums.......recycling boxes x 6 filled with empty plastic bottles (from water changes, top ups and coffee machine) put out to be collected......

Yesterday managed to get into a right pickle with the curtain pole...a whole new way of pole dancing invented. Old rail refused to let go of the wall batten, so it pulled it off the wall. Ended up asking my upstairs neighbour to help out, 4 hours (with a vast amount of blood, sweat, tears, expletives and chasing a rampant finial all over the floor) later we had the old rail out, batten reattached to the wall, pole installed and curtains in place. Mild hysteria at the end cos the flippin' eyelet curtains went on the wrong way around.....but we sorted it.....eventually.

I am NEVER...repeat NEVER...doing another curtain pole installation......absolutely definitely NEVER AGAIN!!!

I'm so sorry for laughing at your misery, I've just been there when it comes to installing window treatments! You hope it'll be a quick job, just an hour or so, but it's never as simple as that, something always goes wrong!

Everything that could go wrong...managed to do it with flair

I should have known things would not go according to plan when the pole arrived 3 days later than expected......that was an bad omen for sure

Before doing the bedroom pole (12ft long) I had sort of considered doing the lounge pole too (5ft long)....but now and after much thought...the lounge pole can get knotted and I shall be sticking with the plastic rail in there instead.
