What are you doing today?

Great now I'm fidgeting a bunch with it... I just jogged in place for about 10 seconds and it spiked to 127... Maybe normal lol. I'm no doctor 😅
Yes jogging is cardio exercise and your heart rate is supposed to go up

Yah I know that, but I wasn't sure about numbers. I have done absolutely 0 research on what the proper BPM is for before and after exercise.

Obviously it would be different for everyone but there has to be an average...

I didn't eat too healthy today and had a lot of water. Too much cause I've been having acid reflexes.

And now I'm having slight chest pains after running/jogging in place so now I figure I probably need to watch the fish 😅

sounds like you don't get enough exercise....at your age , you should be doing lots of exercise...but if you get heart pains while exercising, you need to go to a heart specialist and get checked out

Agree if you have chest pain after 10 seconds of jogging you should go get checked out. But to reassure you the heart rate is fine

Just tested my water again :)
ammonia 0
nitrite less than 0.25
ph 7.4
nitrate 40ppm

Wanted to see what the levels were like as my tank will have been running for 4 weeks on Tuesday, (one 25% water change so far) and my assassin snail is playing dead again 😂 smells fine though!!
Almost ready for some little fishes :)

Reflux can hit the same nerves a heart attack will, I had a few cardiac tests before I was properly diagnosed with it.

What does a homeschooler do for phys ed?

Just discovered one of my Amano had died :( maybe the snail is too… not sure why they’re gone though as the water isn’t awful 😣

Shrimp and snails are extremely sensitive. Your Nitrate is high and so is your nitrite. That likely played a part in the death of both.

Yah I agree. I need to exercise more. But usually I don't get chest pains. I had two large pieces of pizza for lunch with some tums (cause I didn't want to die of stomach pains). Then later I got lightheaded/dizzy with a headache so I chugged down a lot of water... Too much. Which probably mixed in with acids and pizza in my stomach causing me to have acid reflexes. Then later when I decided to jog in place I had chest pains... I think that just reflected my decisions for yesterday. I've been told that some teens get chest pains normally and it's fine so it's not TOO worrying but I do get concerned at times.

My nitrate is 20ppm out of the tap :( nitrite is below 0.25ppm
Will I never be able to keep fish and wet pets alive?
That's pretty crazy... Are you able to mix another water source with it?

Sorry if someone her already said this, but any detectable nitrite is extremely toxic and calls for an immediate, big water change. Nitrate should ideally be 20 ppm or below. Bummer it's so high coming out of the tap.
