I don't know the name but I know that they are a cool fish! Have always wanted one.............your baby is pretty!!!

I got two :D :D :D
Supposedly male and female...

I don't normally buy fish without checking information out on them first, but as this is the first time I have seen them in my regular LFS, then I just had to buy...

I am so bad at that.......I have to be honest and say that I do that quite often. That is just my nature........I have been lucky most of the time though. Hope someone with some actual knowledge comes out to help you on this. Let me know, as I would like to purchase one as well if at all possible!

looks like a bolivian ram i've got one nice fish with lots of personality but sometimes these fish can be very sensitive to water conditions just a heads up :D

It's a gold ram, like in my signature. The sci. name is written next to it. It's kind of like the albino strain of the Blue ram.

Umm, that's not a gold ram. This is a gold ram!

They all ram color varieties and long finned except bolivian are known as Microgeophagus ramirezi.

that's not a pure bolivian ram, i have them in my 29g. it could be a mix of a gold ram and a bolivian ram. Your right about it not being a gold ram because their arent any blue sopts, but next time you see a need for a correction, it wouldnt hurt you to do a little nicer instead of being rude! :)

How was that rude? Auratus was just trying to be helpful...and humorous....
