What Are These?

i have about 6 or 7 of these, they seem to be some kinda worm in a little tube or something. sometimes they let out this thin strand of mucus or something then they seem to reel it back in. i'm assuming thats how they eat.

here are a couple pics. what are these? are they bad? should i be worried, and if so, how would i get rid of them?
