Probably planaria. They feed off ditritus, do water change, increase water flow if possible, decrease feeding. Planaria are a sign of poor water.
I thought planaria were flatworms?Theyre flatworms, not planaria. Head is rounded. Theyre harmless but they can overpopulate if you overfeed or if there's a lot of debris
That is possible. Just keep up the water changes for now, there is no need to go get medications, as the issue is not that severe.Ok thanks, I've been doing a bunch of water changes for his fin rot so I don't think it's that. I did just do a thorough cleaning which could have stirred them up?
theyre in the same family. One is harmless to shrimp one is not. Planaria are the ones with triangular heads and come in white and brown colouration. Flatworms have a rounded head and aren't harmful at all.I thought planaria were flatworms?
A good comparisonInteresting, the website I was looking at was incorrect!
Flatworms are a pretty broad group, which include planarians. Planarians make up an order of flatworms that break down into multiple different families. The most common flatworm in aquariums are rhabdocoela flatworms, which have rounded heads as those above do.I thought planaria were flatworms?
