Got this Saturday,it was labelled as a 'Cualiflower Coral'. Is it some sort of Finger?

Agreed, most likely a pocillipora damicornis. Widely recognized as one of the easiest SPS to keep :)

Thanks Bob and Ski :good:

Mr Google is your friend! :good:

Indeed Mr Google is my friend but sometimes Mr Google leads us astray. Since Saturday I've been trying to i.d this using Google but when you Google 'Cauliflower Coral' you get many different looking things that look nothing like my coral, hence my questioning of the label (My local LFS's seem to pluck names for many corals out of the air or muddle them up with other corals in their tanks)!!!!
The point being I'm not just being lazy trying to get someone else to find things out for me and I certainly tried myself before posting here(I also find it rather embarrasing to have bought something and then to have to ask what it is  )!!
Being able to ask things here when I'm not sure is wonderful and I greatly appreciate the help you all give. Without forums like this the only advice I could get would be from books, interweb and LFS and we all now how reliable and full of conflicting views they can be!!!
I guess for future reference I should buy the E.Borneman "Aquarium Corals" book as it seems to be the one people recommend :good:

Thanks for your help, I really do appreciate it
Johnny

Yeah, borneman's book is pretty much the bible :D

The more I look at it the more I wonder if its some kind of Sinularia. Does it have a hard skeleton or can the fingers be moved?

Well if the fingers are not supported by a rigid internal skeleton, then its a Sinularia

Thanks Bob and Ski :good:

Welcome Johnny - wasn't having a go there, by the way. Only referred to google as I don't know either!

The link I posted was simply the first result that comes up when I searched 'cauliflower coral' - live aquaria is usually a pretty good resource, but given Ski's comments, it may not be a cauliflower after all?

No worries Bob,I just didn't want ya to think I'm one of those lazy tw**ts who wants others to do their research for them!!
After looking through many pics and articles on web its looking like it is some sort of Sinularia although which one exactly is another matter!!!!

Cheers Johnny
