Ok so it's not great when you start aquascaping and have a powercut, especially when you are pretty sure the amount of rock and therefore the amount of water its displaced outweighs the capacity of the sump. So in an effort not to panic I stick my hand in the sump and about a half inch from the top of the sump I bottle it and turn the standpipe tap off. Only took me about 5 hours to get it balanced!......................I'm not sure but think the trip being thrown may have been something to do with the water in the 4 gang by the rock bath...........whoops.
