We're cycling - at long last!

I never thought my 8 gallon tank would ever cycle and I'm imminently going on holiday. The only inhabitant is a disgruntled betta.

The day before yesterday it tested at about 25ppm. I panicked and did a 50% water change with water from my main tank. Yesterday, it was down to 2.5 - 5.0ppm and today it was down to the lowest reading on my test kit - 0.1ppm!

I'm so happy and I'm never going to cycle with fish ever again!

That's why you need several BIG tanks. Use the water from there and a used filter or filter sponges and instant tank and almost no need to cycle cuz it's been done. Rose
