Well i'm going to move the SAE's from the 10 gal to the 50 (uk Long) with one Red tail in. The SAEs are 5 cm and the Red tail is about the same. I've heard lots about them being territoral but the tank has a massive floor space and plenty of hidey holes. I've also been searching and I've found some people saying that they do it quite succefully. The SAE's are very mild mannered and so is the red tail. So what do you think???

I have kept a Red finned Shark with two SAEs in a 45 gallon tank before with no success at all. The Shark was after them as soon as they hit the water. IME they are terriotoral to anything of similar shape and size.

You are unlikely to know how mild mannered the Red Tail is until he has what he thinks is competition. I wouldn't advise in that size tank but each fish to its own personality.

I suppose your right. I'm going to have to get another big ass tank then for my SAE's ! Yay :D

There is always the odd story you hear where someone "gets away with it", but I wouldn't try.
